Lagree Onda Opens in Southtown’s King William Neighborhood

A new boutique fitness experience officially made its debut in San Antonio as Lagree Onda celebrated its grand opening on April 11, 2026, in Southtown’s King William neighborhood. The studio introduced a high-intensity, low-impact workout designed for all fitness levels, while also creating a strong sense of community through local collaboration.

Rooted in the creative energy of Southtown, Lagree Onda exuded a bold, welcoming atmosphere from the moment guests stepped inside. The name “Onda,” meaning wave and vibe, carried through the studio’s identity, from its flowing logo to a mural that captured movement, color, and the artistic spirit of the neighborhood. The space embraced a “good vibes only” mentality, offering an environment where clients felt supported, challenged, and comfortable regardless of experience level.

Founded by San Antonio native Christine Chapa, who lives in Southtown, the studio brought a modern and inclusive approach to the globally recognized Lagree Method. Since its soft opening, Lagree Onda has already begun to build momentum, attracting a steady wave of first-time clients eager to experience the workout.

Chapa shared that creating a space connected to the neighborhood was a priority from the beginning. The studio was designed to feel accessible, walkable, and bikeable, reinforcing its place within the Southtown community. That neighborhood feel extended into the studio’s atmosphere, which remained relaxed and welcoming, even featuring Chapa’s Belgian Malinois mix often resting nearby during classes.

The grand opening reflected that same local-first approach, bringing together a collection of Southtown businesses that contributed to both the studio and the overall experience. Guests enjoyed fresh juices and wellness shots from Southwest Elixirs, desserts from Oh Yeah Cakes and Southtown Cookie Co., and coffee from nearby Kulture Kafe. Complimentary mimosas were also offered, creating an event that felt as much like a neighborhood gathering as a business opening. Elements of the studio itself highlighted local craftsmanship, including custom mirrors by Southtown Glass, while partnerships with Organic Cactus supported the studio’s day-to-day operations.

The event featured a full morning of activities, including community workout classes, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and a VIP and media demo class that gave attendees the opportunity to experience the Lagree Method firsthand. The curated class showcased the studio’s focus on slow, controlled movements designed to build strength, endurance, and core stability through time-under-tension training.

The Lagree Method is known for delivering a full-body workout in just 45 minutes using specialized equipment that challenges muscles while remaining joint-friendly. The approach combines intensity with control, making it accessible to beginners while still effective for experienced clients.

Lagree Onda brought a distinct point of view to San Antonio’s fitness scene by blending performance-driven workouts with an elevated studio experience. With limited class sizes and a strong emphasis on form and coaching, the studio focused on both results and the overall client experience.

To celebrate its opening, Lagree Onda introduced special offers, including a two-week unlimited intro package and a limited number of founding memberships with locked-in rates.

As Southtown continued to grow as a hub for culture, business, and lifestyle, Lagree Onda added a new layer to the neighborhood, one centered on movement, connection, and community.
