Live From The Southside is a proudly woman-owned multimedia company and digital and print-on-demand magazine headquartered in South San Antonio, Texas. Founded and published in 2020 by award-winning entrepreneur and media personality April Monterrosa, we are dedicated to sharing stories that inform, inspire, celebrate, and connect communities.
What began as a publication highlighting positive community stories has grown into a trusted multimedia company serving readers across San Antonio, throughout Texas, and nationwide. Through our magazine, website, newsletter, television, radio, video, social media, and community events, we bring people closer to the stories, businesses, nonprofits, destinations, events, and experiences that make our communities thrive.
We believe every community has something worth celebrating. Live From The Southside proudly supports youth writing and media education, literacy and financial literacy initiatives, and signature programs including San Antonio Latina Legacy, the Youth Writing &Media Program, the Southside Book Fair, Southside Market Days, and the Business & Community Directory. These initiatives help create opportunities for local businesses, entrepreneurs, nonprofits, artists, authors, students, and community leaders while strengthening the communities we serve.
