Her media career began 15 years ago when she founded a travel and lifestyle blog specializing in exploring travel destinations, focusing on small Texas towns, self-care practices, and prioritizing adventure and enjoyment.

April actively contributes to her community by serving on boards and organizations, including the Small Business Advisory Commission for the City of San Antonio, Fin Addict Angler Foundation, Brooks Gives Back, The Pink Berets, San Antonio Water System’s Community Experience Committee, the Palo Alto College Cosmetology Committee, the VIDA Arts Council, the first woman to serve on the Texas Motor Press Association board, and is the chairwoman for Mitchell Lake Audubon Center. She is a proud graduate of the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s Latina Leadership Institute (Cohort 8) and is currently serving on its steering committee.
