On July 11, 2026, the U.S. Postal Service officially unveiled a new collection of Barbie Forever stamps, honoring one of the world’s most recognizable toys and celebrating more than 65 years of inspiring children to dream big. The collectible series debuted during the National Barbie Doll Collectors Convention in Austin, Texas, where Barbie enthusiasts from across the country gathered to celebrate the iconic doll and its enduring legacy.
“The original Barbie stamp has been one of our most memorable and beloved stamps, with appeal felt by Barbie fans young and old,” said Lisa Bobb-Semple, the Postal Service’s Director of Stamp Services. “As much as our customers loved that stamp, we wanted to feature a selection of the modern careers depicted across the decades during which Barbie has become the best-selling doll of all time.”
Introduced by Mattel in 1959 as “The Original Teenage Fashion Model,” Barbie quickly became much more than a fashion doll. Over the decades, she has represented more than 250 careers, encouraging children to imagine themselves as leaders, innovators, artists, scientists, and public servants. The new stamp collection celebrates that legacy by highlighting careers that have inspired generations to believe they can pursue virtually any path.
The collection features 10 memorable Barbie careers spanning more than six decades.
The top row begins with Registered Nurse Barbie (1961), one of the doll’s earliest professional roles. Dressed in a traditional white nurse’s uniform complete with a graduate nurse’s cap, blue cape, and classic cat-eye glasses, the doll reflected a growing recognition of women in healthcare.
Next is Surgeon Barbie (1973), wearing light blue scrubs, a surgical mask, and a stethoscope, representing another milestone in Barbie’s expanding career portfolio.

Representing exploration and discovery is Astronaut Barbie (1986), outfitted in a bold hot-pink-and-silver spacesuit that captured both the fashion and the optimism of the 1980s while celebrating women’s achievements in space.
The final two stamps in the top row include Firefighter Barbie (1995), equipped with bright yellow turnout gear and rescue apparel, and Paleontologist Barbie (1996), ready for excavation with field gear inspired by the dinosaur craze of the 1990s.
The bottom row continues Barbie’s evolution into modern careers. Sign Language Teacher Barbie (2000) helped introduce children to American Sign Language through educational play materials included with the doll.
The collection also includes Robotics Engineer Barbie (2018), reflecting today’s growing interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Equipped with a laptop, protective goggles, and a miniature robot, the doll encourages future innovators to imagine careers in STEM.
Judge Barbie (2019) symbolizes fairness and leadership, wearing traditional judicial robes while representing women serving in positions of authority within the justice system.
Sports are represented by Soccer Player Barbie (2022), while the newest addition, Musical Artist Barbie (2025), celebrates creativity and self-expression with a sparkling stage outfit and sky-blue guitar.
The pane of stamps was designed by USPS Art Director Ethel Kessler in collaboration with Mattel using official Mattel photography. The selvage features Barbie’s signature logo against the brand’s iconic pink background alongside the inspiring phrase, “You can be anything,” reinforcing the message that has defined the brand for generations.
Like all Forever stamps, the Barbie stamps will always retain their value for mailing a one-ounce First-Class Mail letter regardless of future postage rate increases, making them both practical and highly collectible.
Since her debut more than six decades ago, Barbie has evolved alongside changing times while encouraging children to dream without limits. From medicine and science to education, law, sports, music and beyond, the doll’s ever-growing list of careers continues to inspire confidence, curiosity and ambition.
For collectors, longtime fans, and a new generation discovering Barbie for the first time, these commemorative Forever stamps serve as a colorful tribute to one of the world’s most influential toys and to the message that has defined her legacy: that anyone can dream big, break barriers, and become anything.
The Barbie Forever stamps are available through USPS Post Office locations nationwide, online through the Postal Store, and by mail through USA Philatelic while supplies last.
