3 Eateries You Should Visit at Pica Pica Plaza

April Mae Media, EatMigos and The Carpenter’s Apprentice stopped by Pica Pica Plaza for some foodie fun this week. If you have never been to Pica Pica Plaza, its like a world all on its own and you can find just about anything there, even delicious food! From sweet and sour treats like Mangonadas to the best fried fish we have ever tasted and award winning fideo loco, this is a stop you are going to want to bring the family to. (Check out the video created by Eatmigos at the end of this post.)

Manny’s Fruteria and Elotes Snack Shop

Manny’s Fruteria and Elotes Snack Shop is in center food court right up the main center isle as you walk into Pica Pica Plaza; the fruteria is on your right and the Elotes shop is to your left. Both snack shops have all the Southside favorites. On the Elotes Snack Shop side they have menu items such as corn in a cup, frito pie, hot Cheetos and cheese, burritos, funnel cake, and others. On the fruteria side, they make mangonadas, parfaits, fruit cups, aguas frescas, and more. You can have your lunch/dinner and dessert here (or to go).

Maris Seafood

We are big seafood lovers, so when Roy Aguillion of The Carpenter’s Apprentice told us about this spot, we had to try it for ourselves. This was probably this best fried fish and tarter we have ever had. The fried fish plate comes with large steak fries, Texas toast, and salad. They a big on family to go orders and have an array of seafood dishes. We did not find the seafood spot on any social media but, you can always stop by and try for yourself.

Amigas Café

If you love fideo loco, this is a spot you need to visit. Amigas Café was a winner of the Fideo Loco Festival a couple of years ago and we can see why. Not sure what you are in the mood for? They have this platter with a little bit of everything including flautas, puffy tacos, and taquitos. Amigas Café has something for just about everyone. And, its ALL good too! They also have burgers and a chicken sandwich that the kids love.

We had a great time tasting some true Southside cuisine and its always a pleasure meeting and mingling with our fellow Southside business owners. The eateries are open on Wednesdays-Sundays. Follow Pica Pica Plaza on Facebook for updates.
