Old South San Parade Party: A Celebration of Community & Tradition

South San Antonio is a place of deep roots, strong traditions, and a community that takes pride in where they come from. The Old South San Parade Party, presented by Building a Purpose (BAP), is more than just a parade—it’s a homecoming for alumni, a celebration of local businesses, and an inspiration for the next generation of students.

Parade Schedule

📍 Parade Watchers Arrival: 1:00 – 2:00 PM (Parade Route)
📍 Parade Entries Check-in: 1:00 – 2:00 PM at St. Joseph South San (535 New Laredo Hwy, San Antonio, TX 78211)
🎉 Parade Kickoff: 3:00 PM
🏁 Parade End Location: 4:00 PM at Dwight Middle School (2454 W Southcross Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78211)

The parade will feature local schools, businesses, alumni, and organizations—all coming together to celebrate South San Antonio pride. Expect an exciting lineup of decorated floats, marching bands, community leaders, and performances that showcase the heart and soul of the neighborhood.

The Block Party Celebration

The fun doesn’t stop at the parade! Join us for the Block Party, where the community gathers for music, food, and fun.

About Building A Purpose

Building A Purpose (BAP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping people find their purpose in life. Our mission is to connect students with professionals in their fields of interest and guide them toward a promising future.

BAP President Jesus Rendon will lead the event, which will be emceed by April Monterrosa. Both are South San Antonio High School graduates who are passionate about giving back to the community that raised them.
