Popular Southtown bar Gimme Gimme and late-night Mexican gourmet hot dog concept El Weinecero have officially announced a new culinary partnership that brings El Weinecero’s first-ever brick-and-mortar location to the heart of Southtown. This exciting development is known as the Gimme Gimme El Weinecero partnership.
The partnership marks a major milestone for El Weinecero, which has built a loyal following through its downtown hot dog stand. While continuing operations at its original location, the brand will now operate from a fully equipped kitchen within Gimme Gimme, serving food Thursday through Sunday as part of the bar’s expanded culinary program. This brick-and-mortar debut allows El Weinecero to grow beyond its signature “Weinasos” and introduce a broader, scratch-made menu. Guests can expect gourmet hot dogs alongside an expanded lineup that includes wings, grinders, tacos, pastas, and full entrées, each crafted with the bold flavors the brand is known for.
New menu highlights include the Roast Beef plate featuring slow-braised beef with carrots and potatoes in a rich gravy, Beer-Battered Onion Rings fried until crisp and golden, a Smothered Chicken Sandwich topped with caramelized onions and mushrooms, and Chicken Jalapeño Bites, crispy fried chicken wrapped in bacon and jalapeño, tossed in ranch, and finished with fresh herbs.
