The Viva Mexico Women’s Festival returns for its fourth year on Sunday, October 11, 2026, from 3 to 9 p.m. at Mission Marquee Plaza. The free, family-friendly festival will bring together women in music, cultural arts, entrepreneurship and community.
Presented by the Los Altos Mariachi Arts Council, this year’s theme is “Voces Poderosas,” celebrating the women whose voices preserve culture, share stories and inspire future generations.
The festival’s featured musical showcase, “Voces Poderosas,” is presented by Community First Health Plans. The performance lineup includes Angélica Vargas, Vanessa Alonzo and Mariachi Las Alteñas.
Guests can also enjoy performances by Llamativa, DJ Estephania, Ballet Folklórico Sol de San Antonio, Kelli Rosa, Las Reinas del Barrio and additional artists representing the sounds and traditions of San Antonio and South Texas.
“Voces Poderosas is about more than the voices we hear on stage. It’s about the voices of our artists, our vendors, our families and our community,” said festival Executive Director Valerie Vargas Gonzalez. “This festival creates a space where women can be seen, heard and celebrated, all while bringing generations together through music and culture.”
A Free Celebration of Women and Culture
Created to elevate women throughout the cultural arts, the Viva Mexico Women’s Festival has grown into a signature San Antonio celebration. The event gives women performers, creatives, entrepreneurs and community leaders a platform to share their talents and contributions.
Throughout the afternoon, attendees can experience live music, ballet folklórico, food trucks, local vendors, shopping, community organizations and activities for the entire family.
The Viva Mexico Women’s Festival is free and open to the public.
