We started celebrating International Women’s Day a bit early. On February 28, 2020, Live From The Southside hosted its first Wonderfully Wise Women entrepreneurial women’s meetup at Coffeecionado, co-hosted by owner of the coffee house, Patricia Butler. Headshots were offered my Yee-Yan Segovia, owner of Wonder Photography & Design.
30+ businesswomen from the Southside and surrounding communities gathered to share their stories both personally and professionally. Wonderfully Wise Women is a South side San Antonio group founded by Live From The Southside owner April Monterrosa. The women’s group will be a safe space and is about supporting woman for personal growth, support, and networking for business.
It’s mission… is to empower, support and educate women in an atmosphere of sisterhood without judgment of age, race, religion, size, style, and sexual preference. With women’s groups all over the city of San Antonio, we wanted to have one specifically for our Southside area. The group meetups will be cohosted by locally and female owned businesses. Workshops, guest speakers, and fun outings, are just a few things to come.
The second event we are having is “A Walk with Nature” with guest speaker Estefania Serna, area director/trainer for Camp gladiator. She will give us some tips on wellness, walking, and how incorporating it all with nature is beneficial to our well-being. To join us, CLICK HERE.
Our hope is that we can come together to not only support our fellow female entrepreneurs, but to also inspire other women to follow their hearts professionally and personally. Women seem to get each other, are great mentors for one another, and most of all, through connecting, build confidence within ourselves.
Have you wanted to start a business? A blog? Write your first book? Or do you want to make new friends? The beauty of the group and those associated with it is all that can be easily possible since we all have success as our goal.
We hope to see you at the next event. And remember, individually we are strong, together we are powerful.
