The Guitar Studio expanded its footprint in Texas with the opening of a new San Antonio location. This brings its education-
focused approach to classical guitar instruction and access to premium instruments to the Alamo City.
Located at 2815 N. Loop 1604 East, Suite 113, the new studio opened under the leadership of internationally acclaimed guitarist and educator Isaac Bustos. He is a GRAMMY-nominated classical guitarist known for his extensive performance career and dedication to music education.
Bustos serves as Head of Guitar Studies at the University of Texas at San Antonio. He has earned top honors in numerous international competitions and has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Latin America. Moreover, his appointment as Artist-in-Residence at The Guitar Studio marked an important step in the organization’s expansion into South Texas.
The new San Antonio location was designed to serve as a hub for guitar education, performance opportunities, and access to professional-quality instruments. In addition to private lessons and educational programming, the studio also became home to an Altamira Guitar Gallery.
The gallery features a curated collection of Altamira guitars, instruments recognized for their craftsmanship, tonal quality, and accessibility for students, educators, and professional performers. These guitars blend traditional Spanish design with modern manufacturing consistency. As a result, they are a popular choice among classical guitarists worldwide.
Company leadership said the expansion reflected growing interest in classical guitar education throughout Texas. In addition, it highlighted San Antonio’s strong and expanding musical community.
Bustos noted that the opportunity to build a meaningful space for students and guitar enthusiasts aligned closely with his mission as both a performer and educator. Through the new studio, students gained access to high-level instruction. At the same time, they became part of a larger network of musicians and performers.
The location also received support from The Guitar Studio Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to music education. The foundation’s work in San Antonio focused on supporting aspiring musicians and increasing educational opportunities. Additionally, it created community engagement through performances and outreach programs.
The opening of the San Antonio location represented another milestone in The Guitar Studio’s broader vision. This vision seeks to create an integrated ecosystem that combines education, performance, and access to quality instruments. The expansion joined the organization’s existing locations in Fort Worth and Grapevine. This further strengthens its presence across Texas.
For those interested in lessons, educational programs, or a visit to the Altamira Guitar Gallery, appointments were available through The Guitar Studio.
