Chef Chris Jara was born and raised on the south side San Antonio, Texas and a graduate of Brackenridge High School. Chris knew from a very young age he wanted to be a pastry chef. His love of being artistic and the ability to play with his food for a living drew him to Johnson & Wales University in Denver, CO. There he obtained his degree in baking and pastry and since has worked in various catering companies and hotels in San Antonio.
Chris has participated in several chef events around the city including Hot Wells Harvest Feast and Fete du Cuvée, and was recently selected as a contestant on Netflix’s Sugar Rush Christmas. Driven by flavor combinations and creative takes on desserts, Chris brings his passion for pastry to each plate and cake he creates, always looking to bring a sweet morsel of joy to someone’s day.
