With the ever-changing information regarding the Coronavirus Outbreak, it is hard to keep up with what’s closed and what’s open. To make things a bit easier, here is a list of San Antonio attractions, galleries and museums that are currently closed, as well as when they are scheduled to reopen.
ATTRACTIONS
Altitude Trampoline Park– 11075 West I-10- Announced on March 17th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
Amazing Mirror Maze– 217 Alamo Plaza- Announced on March 18th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
Andretti Indoor Karting– 5527 North Loop 1604 West- Announced on March 17th, on their Facebook page, all of their locations will be closed until at least March 31st.
Bowlero– 13307 San Pedro Avenue- Announced on March 17th, on their Facebook page, all locations will be closed for the next 15 days.
City Sightseeing San Antonio– 111 Alamo Plaza- Announced on March 19th, on their Facebook page, they will be suspending operations until further notice.
Cosmic Mayhem– 903 East Bitters Road- Announced on March 20th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
Dave & Buster’s– 2 locations- 440 Crossroads Boulevard & 849 East Commerce Street- Announced on March 20th, on their Facebook page, they will be closing all of their locations until further notice.
Extreme Escape– 2 locations- 434 North Loop 1604 West & 9995 West I-10- Announced on March 18th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
Go Rio Cruises– 809 River Walk Street- Announced on March 19th, on their Facebook page, they were suspending operations until further notice. This means 2 of their popular cruises will be getting a late start- the Acenar Sunday Brunch Cruises, which were set to run from March 15th through November 8th and the Downtown Tuesday Cocktail Cruises, which were set to run from March 17th through November 17th.
Guinness World Records Museum– 329 Alamo Plaza- Also includes Ripley’s Haunted Adventure and Tomb Rider 3D- Announced on March 18th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
iFly San Antonio– 15915 West I-10- Announced on March 18th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
K1 Speed Indoor Karting– 6955 Northwest Loop 410- Announced on March 18th, on their Facebook page, they are closing all locations in the U.S., until further notice.
Legoland Discovery Center- 849 East Commerce Street- Announced on March 18th, on their website, they will be closed until at least April 9th.
Morgan’s Wonderland– 5223 David Edwards Drive- First announced on March 13th, on their website, they would be closed from March 14th-19th. Later, they announced, on March 19th, they will remain closed to the public through the end of April.
Natural Bridge Caverns– 26495 Natural Bridge Caverns Road- Announced on March 16th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed from March 17th-31st.
Natural Bridge Wildlife Ranch– 26515 Natural Bridge Caverns Road- Announced on March 16th, on their Facebook page, they would be closed for a minimum of 15 days.
Pearl District– 303 Pearl Parkway- Announced on March 23rd, on their website:
All Pearl programming is suspended until further notice.
Gustav’s Geysers will be turned off until further notice.
Venue Open House is suspended until further notice.
Weekend Farmers Market is suspended until further notice.
Restaurants will only offer delivery and carry-out for 30 days, effective March 19th.
Bars will be closed for 30 days, effective March 19th.
Ripley’s Believe It Or Not– 301 Alamo Plaza- Also includes Louis Tussaud’s Waxworks and Ripley’s 4D Moving Theater- Announced on March 17th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
San Antonio Botanical Garden– 555 Funston Place- Announced on March 18th, on their website, they would be closed until further notice, effective March 19th.
San Antonio Missions National Historical Park– 6701 San Jose Drive- Announced on March 23rd, by the City of San Antonio’s World Heritage Office website, that the museum grounds were open, all of the park facilities would be closed until further notice.
San Antonio Zoo– 3903 North St. Mary’s Street- First announced on March 13th, on their Facebook page, they would be closed from March 14th-20th. Later, they announced on March 20th, they will be closed until further notice.
SeaWorld San Antonio– 10500 SeaWorld Drive- Announced on March 13th, on the SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment website, they will be closing all of their theme parks from March 16th-31st.
Six Flags Fiesta Texas– 17000 West I-10- Announced on March 13th, on their website, they will be closed until March 31st.
The Alamo– 300 Alamo Plaza- Announced on March 16th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
Top Golf– 5539 North Loop 1604 West- Announced March 19th, on their website, they were closing all U.S. and U.K. venues until further notice.
Urban Air Adventure Park– 4 locations- 165 Southwest Military Drive, 618 Northwest Loop 410, 8490 Fourwinds Drive & 11791 Bandera Road- Announced on March 16th, on their website, as of March 17th, they were closing all of their corporate-owned locations, until further notice.
GALLERIES
Artpace– 445 North Main Avenue- Announced on March 13th, on their website, they will be closed to the public, beginning on March 14th, until further notice.
Bihl Haus Arts– 2803 Fredericksburg Road- Announced on March 16th, on their Facebook page, all of their classes, events and programs have been postponed until further notice.
Blue Star Contemporary– 116 Blue Star- Inside the Blue Star Arts Complex- Announced on March 13th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed to the public, effective March 14th, until further notice.
Flight Gallery– 112 Blue Star- Inside the Blue Star Arts Complex- Announced on Facebook, their Flight Camp 2020, which was to be held from March 27th-29th, was postponed until further notice.
Form Gallery– 1906 South Flores Street- Announced on March 12th, on Instagram, they will be closed until further notice.
Garcia Art Glass– 715 South Alamo Street- Announced on March 17th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed to the public until further notice.
Ruby City– 150 Camp Street- Announced on March 14th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed to the public until further notice.
Ruiz-Healy Art– 201-A East Olmos Drive- Announced on March 17th, on their Facebook page, they will be open by appointment only, until further notice.
MUSEUMS
Briscoe Western Art Museum– 210 West Market Street- Announced on March 16th, on their Facebook page, that their new works & permanent galleries and the McNutt Sculpture Garden will be closed until further notice. Also, the events surrounding the 2020 Night of Artists opening weekend, March 27th & March 28th, are cancelled. However, the virtual exhibition and sale will still take place, from March 27th through July 26th.
Buckhorn Saloon & Museum– 318 East Houston Street- Announced on March 18th, on their Facebook page, they would be closed until further notice.
Casa Navarro State Historic Site– 228 South Laredo Street- Announced on March 23rd, on the Texas Historical Commission website, they will be closed from March 24th– April 9th.
Holocaust Memorial Museum of San Antonio– 12500 Northwest Military Drive- Announced on March 16th, on their Facebook page, they would be closed until April 13th.
Institute of Texan Cultures– 801 East Cesar East Chavez Boulevard- Announced on March 18th, on their website, they would close their doors to the public until further notice.
McNay Art Museum– 6000 North New Braunfels Avenue- Announced on March 16th, on their website, that the museum and the grounds would be closed until further notice.
Mexican Cultural Institute– 600 Hemisfair Plaza Way- Announced on March 16th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
San Antonio Art League & Museum– 130 King William Street- Announced on March 14th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until at least April 19th.
San Antonio Fire Museum– 801 East Houston Street- Announced on March 16th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed until further notice.
San Antonio Museum of Art– 200 West Jones Avenue- First announced on March 13th, on their Facebook page, they would be closed to the public until March 20th. Later, they updated their website to indicate that the museum will remain closed to the public, until further notice.
Spanish Governor’s Palace– 105 Plaza de Armas- First announced on March 13th, on their Facebook page, they would be closed to the public from March 14th-20th. Later, it was posted on their website that they will be closed to the public until April 18th.
Texas Transportation Museum– 11731 Wetmore Road- Announced on March 18th, on their Facebook page, they will be closed from March 20th-22nd and March 27th-29th, with a tentative opening date of April 3rd.
The DoSeum– 2800 Broadway Street- First announced on March 13th, on their website, that they would be closed through March 20th. On March 20th, they announced that they were closed until further notice.
Villa Finale: Museum & Gardens– 401 King William Street- Announced on March 16th, on their website, that the Villa Finale: Museum & Gardens, as well as The Edward Steves Homestead, will be closed through April 13th.
Witte Museum– 3801 Broadway Street- First announced on March 13th, on their website, that they would be closed to the public until March 20th. In an update posted on March 20th, they announced that they would remain closed to the public through April 19th.
