Ashley Alonso: Empowering Wellness with VidaSlim
Ashley Alonso is the dynamic force behind VidaSlim, a company that began humbly in 2017 from the trunk of her car. Today, VidaSlim has grown into a multi-million dollar enterprise with over 200 distributors nationwide, helping hundreds of thousands on weight loss and wellness journeys. Born and raised in South San Antonio, Texas, Ashley’s early life was shaped by travel due to her stepfather’s military career. Eventually, her family returned to San Antonio, where she has since laid her roots and built her thriving business.
Ashley’s passion for health and wellness is deeply personal. Coming from a family affected by diabetes, obesity, and other health complications, she was driven to pursue a career in helping people improve their well-being. “Seeing family members suffer from these illnesses pushed me into this industry,” Ashley shares. “I wanted to make a difference, especially in the Hispanic community, where there’s a lack of knowledge about nutrition and health.” 
Despite not graduating from high school, Ashley has taught herself everything she knows about business and health. Her journey has been of trial and error, taking risks, and holding steadfast faith. “I faced adversity from the start, as a Latina from the Southside and a young mother at 19,” she says. “But I never let that stand in the way of my goals.”
The road to success was anything but easy for Ashley. Starting a business in her mid-20s came with its fair share of struggles, particularly in a male-dominated industry. “Not many people took me seriously, but I believed in myself even when others didn’t,” she explains. Her tenacity and determination have led to her business’s remarkable growth, but her ultimate goal was never a financial success. “It was always about helping others,” Ashley emphasizes. “I think people gravitate toward that authenticity.”
Aside from her business achievements, Ashley is proud of how far she has come despite her childhood obstacles. “I didn’t let my environment define who I would become,” she reflects. Her genuine love for helping people and unwavering faith set her apart from others. “I put God first in everything I do,” she says. “It’s what keeps me grounded.”
