Friday, Saturday & Sunday, June 10-12, 2022 — A truly Texas-Sized Sunflower Field opens at Traders Village San Antonio this weekend. This is South Texas’ Largest & San Antonio’s First & ONLY Sunflower Field sitting at 10-Acres.
This will be our second year for the 10-Acre Sunflower Field. The field boasts over ten different types of Sunflowers, ranging in size and color. The Sunflower Field includes a maze with 6 checkpoints to find to help you walk all around the field and make it fun.
“Traders Village is once again VERY excited to bring our 10-Acre Sunflower Field to San Antonio,” said Brian A. Billeck, Marketing Manager for Traders Village San Antonio. “We’ve had such fun and success with the Sunflower Field last year that we couldn’t wait to bring it back again. Our goal is to keep creating events where memories are made, and traditions begin. Last year we had four wedding proposals, 3 birthdays over 90, four bachelorette parties and more. This year we will open on Fridays for Sunset photos which are so beautiful. We also have a section set aside called the “Picking Path” where you can pick your own Sunflowers, pay for them, and take them home.”
Brian continued: “The idea for the field came from seeing my son Damon at a Sarcoma Foundation of America event standing in front of Sunflowers. Damon passed away 03 April 18 at the age of 13 after battling Osteosarcoma Bone Cancer for over four years. He is still giving me ideas and I’m able to help others in the process. Last year we were proud to welcome Team Jaxon Frog and a group of mothers who lost their child to cancer in our field for photos. It was so heartwarming.”
Admission is ONLY $8.99 per person and for only $15.99 you can upgrade to the Combo which includes the Sunflower Field and an All-Day Ride wristband to our 11 theme-park rides inside Traders Village. Included in the admission price will be our Petting Zoo, games/activities, and an inflatable slide (weather permitting).
We will also bring out our Apple Cannon. The Apple Cannon shoots apples at targets. This is a separate charge [5 Apples for $5 or 10 Apples for $8] Take aim and have fun!!!
The Sunflower Field will be open till they fade away. Hours of operation are: Friday: 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm | Saturday – 9:00 am – 6:00 pm | Sunday – 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Sunflower Prices: 1 Sunflower = $3 | 2 Sunflowers = $5 | 3-5 Sunflowers = $10 [+tax] (per Sunflower head & max Five Sunflowers per person)
Traders Village San Antonio is open EVERY weekend throughout the year. Admission is Always FREE with parking ONLY $5/vehicle.
