The San Antonio Public Library (SAPL) has initiated comprehensive building improvement projects to replace the heating and cooling systems at the Igo Branch Library (13330 Kyle Seale Pkwy., 78249) and Pan American Branch Library (1122 W. Pyron Ave. 78221). These essential upgrades necessitate the temporary closure of both branches. However, SAPL has ensured patrons can still access services through curbside pickup, which is available on-site. The improvement work is anticipated to be completed this fall.
These system replacements are part of a broader plan to maintain and enhance SAPL’s 30 library locations, reflecting the library’s dedication to providing excellent facilities. SAPL recognizes the importance of offering comfortable environments where residents can stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Recently, similar upgrades have been made at the Brook Hollow, Bazan, Cortez, Great Northwest, and Westfall Branch Libraries. 
Starting Monday, August 5, patrons of the Igo and Pan American Branch Libraries can utilize curbside services. To use this service, patrons should pull up to the building and call the phone number on the signage to have their library holds delivered to their vehicle. Additionally, outdoor Wi-Fi will be available in designated parking spots at both libraries, ensuring continued access to online resources. It is important to note that the book drops at both locations will be closed during the project’s duration.

Friday and Saturday: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
