The first annual book fair for the Southside is on May 16th, 2021 from 11am – 3pm and esteemed and award-winning authors from the Southside and throughout Texas will be there to meet visitors and sign and sell their books. “Writing Beyond Borders” is the focus of the featured panelist authors as they discuss and share their unique perspective on how their works reflect overcoming borders – both physical and symbolic, like the ones imposed by traumas and societies.
The Twig Book Shop will be there selling the authors books and the San Antonio Museum of Art will also be there helping promote literacy by sharing what the museum has to offer.
There will be activities and readings for children and the venue, Brooster’s Backyard Icehouse is a family and pet friendly location which is always fun for the whole family.
