KLRN City Showdown 2026 Returns | San Antonio Battle of the Bands

San Antonio’s music scene is once again taking center stage as KLRN’s award-winning digital series, City Showdown, returns for its highly anticipated third season. This dynamic battle of the bands brings together local and regional talent, showcasing the diverse sounds and voices that define South Central Texas.

This season features thirteen contestants competing for the top spot, with performances available on KLRN’s YouTube channel and Instagram. From emerging artists to established local acts, the series continues to celebrate creativity while encouraging civic awareness and community pride.

City Showdown stands out by connecting music to community, with each contestant representing a San Antonio City Council district through an original music video that reflects the identity and energy of their area. Expanding beyond the city, this year’s competition also includes artists from Floresville, Helotes, and Windcrest, highlighting the broader reach of KLRN’s 33-county viewing area.

Last season, District 6’s INOHA secured a decisive win with their song “Saturday Nights,” but this year’s outcome is wide open. The lineup showcases an impressive range of musical styles, including pop punk, conjunto, country, R&B, and more, making it one of the most diverse seasons yet.

Representing San Antonio are Lloronas for District 1, Niko Felan for District 2, Jerry Deleon & Southbound for District 3, Marylynn for District 4, Fancy & The Fortunate Sons for District 5, Jed Craddock Band for District 6, Joe Zimmerle y Su Conjunto for District 7, Bella Fellows for District 8, Jorge y Leonnyy for District 9, and J-Darius for District 10. Joining from surrounding cities are Kai FaKtor representing Floresville, Perfect Season from Helotes, and Marc Sauceda from Windcrest.

Fans are encouraged to take part by supporting their favorite artists through online voting, where viewers can rank performances and help determine who advances. A community jury will also contribute to the final results. The top four contestants will move on to the City Showdown Finale on April 7, where the winner will be revealed live.

The 2026 winner will receive a $250 H-E-B gift card along with year-long bragging rights and recognition across the region as one of the standout voices in today’s local music scene.
