As part of the 15th annual WeFlamenco Fest, ‘The Roads Leading To Us’ on Sunday Nov. 10th from 2- 5:30pm will be presented at Hemisfair Yanaguana Garden. This free event showcases flamenco but also includes children and adult cultural dance performances from The Rhythmics School of Kathak Dance & The Karilagan Philippine Cultural Group. Flamenco began with only voice and rhythm and partly thanks to the trade route a.k.a the silk road, flamenco evolved with influences from India, Manila, Africa & Peru. It is fitting that this synergistic showcase be presented at Hemisfair where the 1968 World’s Fair theme was coined to highlight the multicultural makeup of San Antonio.
