Vol. 2 of The Bard in the Borderlands features adaptations of Shakespeare’s comedies and tragicomedies by prominent Latinx playwrights that reflect the histories and lived realities of the US–Mexico Borderlands. The editors Katherine Gillen, Adrianna M. Santos, and Kathryn Vomero Santos will read from these plays and illuminate the varied contexts that shape the dynamic, multilingual reworking of canon and place that defines Borderlands Shakespeare. Augusto Contreras and his students from the Creative Arts Studio in the Rio Grande Valley will perform a short scene.
