Our speaker, Joe Tellez, will take us back thousands of years to explore what made this region so special—starting with the natural features that drew Native tribes to settle here long before European contact. He’ll also walk us through why this very landscape made San Antonio the ideal spot for five Spanish Missions and, later, a gateway for settlers moving west in search of a new beginning.
