Manufacturing investment, road improvements, and community partnerships are among the latest developments at Brooks. In its “Momentum Builds at Brooks” newsletter, the organization shares updates on growth across Southeast San Antonio and the people helping move it forward.
In an ENside Politics podcast interview, Brooks President and CEO Leo Gomez discusses the effort to secure IEM’s $200 million manufacturing facility. The newsletter also highlights the impact of 3,000 new jobs and Brooks’ vision for continued growth.
Brooks, the Texas Department of Transportation, and community leaders recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the Diverging Diamond Interchange at I-37 and S.E. Military Drive. According to Brooks, the $40 million project is designed to improve traffic flow, enhance safety, and strengthen connectivity throughout Southeast San Antonio.
Brooks Chief Strategy Officer Connie Gonzalez was named a San Antonio Business Journal C-Suite Awards honoree. She also recently spoke to the San Antonio Chapter of the International Right of Way Association about Brooks’ transformation, future growth plans, and infrastructure investments.
More than 50 business owners and community leaders joined Brooks leadership for Business Over Breakfast, where discussions focused on recent milestones, upcoming opportunities, and partnerships supporting investment across the region.
Brooks Gives Back also donated electronics to the Fin Addict Angler Foundation, a longtime community partner that offers hands-on fishing clinics and educational programs to help local youth learn about environmental stewardship.
The newsletter recognized State Representative Liz Campos for her partnership on IEM’s investment, improvements at The Greenline, and the new interchange.
Local business Madre Herb provided açai bowls for Business Over Breakfast guests and also serves visitors at The Greenline. The newsletter lists its October hours as Monday through Wednesday, 5–9 p.m.
