The Southside Artezan Market Brings Artists & Handcrafters Together

The family and pet friendly Southside Artezan Market will be its grand debut on August 23, 2020 at 4803 South Flores Street, San Antonio, Texas 78214 from 9am to 2pm. The inaugural market will take place the 3rd Sunday of the month and will feature community and local artists, handcrafted vendors, produce vendors, food trucks, and much more.

“The Southside of San Antonio has always been the Corazón of San Antonio; the people from the Southside are very welcoming and friendly. I feel that is it the perfect location for small business owners like myself. People here want to collaborate and make opportunities happen. The Southside is also known to have a great collection of talented artists and has a unique vibe.  The venue for this market has been part of this evolving community for a long time. The owner of this place wants to offer something for the people of this neighborhood by bringing markets and other friendly community events”, mentions Janie Mcclinchie, Owner of Que Retro Arts.

“It’s such a pleasure and exciting to be a part of this event. Many local artists and handcrafters have reached out to Live From The Southside many times in the past asking about a place they can showcase their hard work, and now they can”, says April Monterrosa, Owner of Live From The Southside Magazine.

Que Retro Arts was hired to curate this market and make it into a known event for the Southside and is known for Frida Fest and last year’s Concha Throwdown. The mission of The Southside Artezan Market  is to bring opportunities to small business owners, bring art and culture to the Southside and bring families together.
