SEAWORLD SAN ANTONIO’S HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR OFFERS EXCITEMENT AND TREATS FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY WITH LIMITED CAPACITY AND SAFE FRIENDLY FUN!

Modified with enhanced health and safety measures, popular daytime Halloween celebration returns as SeaWorld hosts safe festivities, weekends September 25 – November 1

SeaWorld is offering more treats than tricks this year at its modified Halloween Spooktacular. In this year’s peculiarly eerie month of October that includes five weekends and two full moons (a rare blue moon on Halloween night!), this not-so-scary Halloween experience has been adapted for safe adventures and fun, Friday, Saturdays and Sundays from September 25 through November 1. Guests can enjoy traditional Halloween favorites like physically-distant trick-or-treating at stations staffed by ambassadors with gloves and face coverings, a spacious pumpkin patch picnic, kid-friendly Halloween shows and characters with physically-distant viewing, creative costumes, and a wide-open outdoor hay maze to get lost in. This daytime event is perfect for both kids and those who are kids at heart to explore the friendly frights of the park’s 250 acres.

While the kids enjoy Halloween fun, parents can enjoy a treat of their own as SeaWorld extends its popular Bier Fest! Extended until November 1, this added month of the popular beer festival gives grown-ups even more opportunities to enjoy 60 different brews and sample popular pub foods.

Both Spooktacular and Bier Fest have been modified to allow guests to safely visit the park, roam its expansive grounds and enjoy autumn events with cooler temperatures. In addition to enhancing the park’s already strict health and safety measures, capacity will be significantly limited to create even more open space for a visit that provides plenty of opportunity to maintain physical distancing in a safe environment. Guests are encouraged to make reservations early as reservations are required and limited to manage capacity. Reservations can be made at SeaWorld.com/san-antonio/tickets/reservations/.

“With talk of Halloween being cancelled this year, we are excited to share that our Halloween Spooktacular, modified to reflect the important needs of our guests including limited capacity, is back to provide friends and families a chance to get out and enjoy the fall open air in our parks,” said Byron Surrett, President of SeaWorld and Aquatica San Antonio. “Our guests have come to love our seasonal events like Spooktacular and Bier Fest, and we are committed to hosting them in a safe and comfortable environment.

Halloween Spooktacular Highlights:

  • Halloween Hay Maze: Twist and turn your way through a silly Halloween maze that’s tons of fun for younger and older guests alike! Capacity will be limited to promote social distancing.
  • Trick-or-Treating: Costumed youngsters can trick-or-treat for ghoulish goodies at three different locations, all while maintaining safe physical distancing. Each trick-or-treat station features an assortment of candy favorites, and fun characters like pirates, scarecrows, and princesses distributing candy in face coverings and gloves for optimal protection.
  • Pumpkin Patch Picnic: Located at Rosita’s Cantina, this traditional autumn favorite combines a delicious meal with exciting character appearances all while safely social distancing. With protective food service barriers, widely spaced single-party tables, sanitization between meals and more, guests are bound to have a safe, fun time for the whole family.
  • Photo Opportunities: This fun-filled family experience features physically distanced photo opportunities with colorful fall backdrops as well as with some of the friendly characters park-goers have come to love and enjoy.
