Born and raised in San Antonio, Lyn-Z is proud to call the city home. Throughout her career, she has worked to increase visibility, promote inclusion, and serve her community while breaking barriers along the way.
Today, she serves as the first openly transgender commissioner on the San Antonio Arts Commission. She is also the Texas LGBTQIA+ Director of Policy and Advocacy for State Representative Josey Garcia, a board member of the San Antonio AIDS Foundation, and the first transgender woman Tejano radio personality in San Antonio.
Her journey has been one of resilience, leadership, and determination. By embracing her authentic self, Lyn-Z has become a respected voice across government, nonprofit organizations, media, and the entertainment industry.
As the owner of Lyn-Z Andrews Entertainment L.L.C., she produces live events, comedy shows, drag performances, and community programs throughout San Antonio. An award-winning comedian and drag performer, Lyn-Z has entertained audiences while creating spaces where people can celebrate culture, creativity, and connection.
She is perhaps best known for hosting San Antonio’s Pride River Parade since its inaugural year, serving as the face of one of the city’s most recognizable annual celebrations. She has also emceed DreamWeek’s Dream Ball and performed stand-up comedy for both past and current San Antonio mayors, showcasing her talent and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
For Lyn-Z, representation is about showing others that there is no single path to success. Her career demonstrates that leadership, entrepreneurship, and public service can go hand in hand while remaining true to who you are.
