RITMO RITUAL: UN TALLER DE POESÍA EXPERIMENTAL // RITUAL RHYTHM: AN EXPERIMENTAL POETRY WORKSHOP
What Diana Lizette Rodriguez has gathered as experience, as knowledge from text is rhythm. Patterns stretched in syllables, in lines, sounds as words — words as sounds. A ritual composing poetry.

In this workshop, taught by local artist Diana Lizette Rodriguez, participants will explore the concept of Rhythm in Poetry and how Ritual emphasizes these Rhythms. We will come to know the emotional impact, and the enhanced meaning and connections words-sounds create when we follow, invent & explore mysterious patterns.
We will try to answer questions such as:
“How does repetition emerge and form a rhythmic ritual through the composition of our mind and body?”
“What Rhythm do we create when we write about water?”
“When does Rhythm & Ritual meet within a poem?”
Come and join in a time of exploration & experimentation. This workshop is a two part series, which will include a Tuesday evening performance on June 10th from 5:45-7:45pm at Central Library to share with others the experiences, process, and final poems of this experiment!
