Revelation Counseling Services (RCS) is celebrating seven years of providing compassionate, culturally responsive mental health care to individuals, families, and communities across South Texas.
Founded in 2019 by Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor Jacqueline Hernandez, began as a solo practice. The mission was to make quality mental health services accessible while honoring the unique experiences of every client. Today, the organization has grown into a community-based group practice. It offers individual and family counseling, trauma-informed care, immigration-related mental health assessments, workplace support, critical incident stress debriefing, and clinical supervision.
Over the past seven years, RCS has expanded its impact through partnerships with schools, nonprofits, faith communities, government agencies, and universities. These collaborations have helped increase access to mental health education, crisis response services, support groups, and outreach programs throughout the region.
A cornerstone of the practice’s growth has been its commitment to developing future mental health professionals through clinical supervision, internships, and mentorship opportunities.

The practice recently expanded into a larger location at The Convent at Our Lady of the Lake University. This move created additional opportunities for community engagement, clinical training, and expanded services.
As it looks to the future, Revelation Counseling Services remains dedicated to providing hope, healing, and support. It also serves as a trusted mental health resource for South Texas.
