San Antonio’s Hispanic heritage is woven into the music, food, traditions, and stories that bring our community together. On Saturday, October 3, families are invited to celebrate during Celebrando: Music, Culture & Community at Mission Marquee Plaza.
Presented by AARP Texas, the Guadalupe Cultural Arts Center and the City of San Antonio World Heritage Office, the free event will feature live folklórico and mariachi performances by students carrying San Antonio’s cultural traditions forward.
Grammy Award-winning Los Texmaniacs will also take the stage, accompanied by singer-songwriter Lisa Morales. Together, they will bring the sounds of conjunto and Texas-Mexican music to this Southside celebration.
Guests can browse a farmers market, shop from local artisans, enjoy food from area vendors, and connect with community organizations. Those who register through AARP can receive a complimentary event bag filled with election information, fraud prevention materials, and other helpful resources while supplies last.
Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs or picnic blankets and enjoy a family-friendly day celebrating music, culture, and community. Admission and parking are free, and everyone is welcome.
