Official Fiesta Event Festival de Cascarones at Texas A&M University – San Antonio

A&M-San Antonio celebrates Fiesta finale with music, food, games and fun for families on campus

On April 10, 2022, Texas A&M University–San Antonio will hold its annual Festival de Cascarones event, the official finale to Fiesta San Antonio! Held on campus from 1p.m. to 8 p.m., the event is free and open to the public, and will feature live music, food, games, and fun for the whole family. There will be a Kids Zone for youth, and the event is pet-friendly (dogs must be leashed).

Texas artist Kevin Fowler will headline as musical entertainment. Other performers include the Jaguarettes, A&M-SA Mariachi, Havana NRG, and Danzantes de Corazón, among others.

As part of the festivities, there will be 100 golden eggs hidden on campus for the public to find for a chance to win an official Festival de Cascarones merchandise item (several large golden eggs will also be hidden and winners will receive a swag bag of merchandise); Cascarones Smash with more than 6,000 cascarones; and a Golden Egg Contest, where student winners will receive free tuition for a semester at Texas A&M University–San Antonio.

The event will feature 47 food vendors, more than half of which will be student organizations. Official merchandise, including the Festival de Cascarones Fiesta medal, is available to order online at www.tamusa.edu and also will be available for purchase at the event. The day will include games and activities, such as fingerpainting, face painting, pet rock adoption, a Kid Zone, and more.
