Be a Local Hero, SAY Sí to San Antonio this Summer

From June 15 through July 15, it’s time to enjoy a much-deserved escape to relax and have fun in a responsible manner with a special promotion from Visit San Antonio and its partners. The Si San Antonio Staycation campaign provides Mission City residents more than 150 individual offers from hotels, restaurants and attractions – as well as a way to give back to the San Antonio Food Bank. Plus, to ensure the comfort and make the city safer, hotels, restaurants, attractions and other businesses are enhancing their health and safety protocols.

With the San Antonio Staycation campaign, locals can stay, dine and play at more than 150 local businesses with special offers. The journey begins by booking one of the over 80 participating hotel deals through the Visit San Antonio website. Hotels are available in all price and style preferences, located across the city – so whether San Antonians want to be in the heart of downtown with easy access to the River Walk and the Alamo, close to SeaWorld San Antonio or Six Flags Fiesta Texas, centrally located near the airport or one of the other exciting areas of town, they’ll find the hotel that is right for them.

By booking one of the package offers available on the San Antonio website, guests will receive a San Antonio card at check-in. The card unlocks special deals, discounts and offers from participating restaurants and attractions throughout the city. Participating restaurants, including The Good Kind, Paesanos Riverwalk and Maverick Texas Brasserie, will reward Si San Antonio cardholders with a variety of specials ranging from percentage off the total check to free food or drink.

When it’s time to explore, relax or have fun, more than 40 attractions, museums, tours and shops will reward Si San Antonio cardholders with discounts or even free gifts. Some samples of the fantastic offers include discounted adult admission at Tejas Rodeo Company; a free T.Rex Snapper Toy with paid admission at The Witte Museum; 30% off private tours from Gray Line Tours; among many others.

As a way to continue supporting the community, Visit San Antonio has partnered with participating hotels and the San Antonio Food Bank to donate 10% of the hotel rates from each San Antonio stay from local residents. Additionally, Go San Antonio pass also will donate 10% of passes bought by Alamo City residents to the San Antonio Food Bank. The Go San Antonio pass offers flexible admission to more than 25 ticketed attractions with savings of up to 52% compared to attraction gate prices.

The priority on safety of the community and visitors is one of the reasons that San Antonio is a top vacation destination in the country. San Antonio’s civic, business and association communities have joined forces to ensure that as the city emerges from the COVID-19 crisis it maintains safety as the most important aspect. In addition to more than 1,200 local businesses taking the Greater. Safer. Together Pledge, many hotels, restaurants and attractions have outlined specific new programs to enhance their health and safety operations.
